Being responsible for planning and managing all day to days accounting, financing, treasury and tax functions, financial and tax reports, and other regulatory requirements to facilitate productivity of the team, efficiency of processes, timeliness of reports and compliance to local laws and regulations with respect to budgets, costs, forecasting, analysis, and internal & external financial report.
The position is directly reporting to Finance Controller for Indonesia, Malaysia and Cambodia.
Key Accountabilities
- Implement and manage the daily bookkeeping, journal entries and treasury operations to ensure timely processing of payment, billing, and collection transactions.
- Implement and review transactions, reconciliations, schedules, and regulatory reports to verify the correctness and accuracy of financial information, ensure proper recording of transactions and avoid tax and other regulatory penalties.
- Oversee, review and monitor all tax reporting and compliance with government regulations to confirm the complete and accurate submission of financial and tax reports, ensure the timely and accurate payment of duties and taxes, and avoid penalties.
- Prepare and submit financial statements and other relevant reports to Management and other relevant parties to aid Management in its business decisions and to comply with relevant regulatory requirements
- Handle the internal and external financial audit and coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure complete and prompt submission of all audit requirements and timely resolution of audit issues
- Apply fiscal acumen, accounting expertise and compliance knowledge to comply to local and group regulations.
- Research and develop tax and accounting strategies to minimize tax payments and aid Management in its business decisions
- Stay updated with current developments and changes in accounting and tax standards, technology and regulations to ensure compliance and adapt necessary changes in the Company.
- Create accounting, treasury and tax controls, policies, and procedures for the efficient and effective performance of department processes and to ensure controls are in place.
- Handle the migration, implementation, and maintenance of the accounting system to detect impending problems, avoid unexpected work interruption due to system failure, properly address user complaints and fully utilize the functionality of the system.
- Ensure records are restricted, complete and stored properly to facilitate easy access to reference, comply with administrative, legal, tax and financial requirements, and avoid financial or data loss.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the Finance group and the Company.
