Background
iDE is an international NGO dedicated to powering entrepreneurs to end poverty. Based in Denver, USA, we focus on agriculture and food security, climate and the environment, entrepreneurship, gender and social inclusion, resilience, and WASH. Our work stands out in the international development sector because we do not simply give handouts; instead, we build robust market ecosystems that are financially competitive, resilient to changing climate, and inclusive of marginalized people. Given access to affordable technologies, market links, and finance, iDE has shown that entrepreneurs can lift themselves out of poverty and become change agents in their communities.
Founded in 1982, and with operations in 10 countries, iDE has made an impact in the lives of nearly 37 million people, providing access to markets, boosting incomes, and improving wellbeing. By listening to every stakeholder, including producers, suppliers, retailers, and customers, iDE designs programs that overcome critical bottlenecks and develop lasting solutions. We employ more than 1,300 staff globally, 96 percent of whom are nationals or field based.
iDE has been growing prosperity for rural households in Cambodia since 1994 by building value chains and business models in agriculture, clean water, and sanitation that promote beneficial, affordable products and services. iDE Cambodia collaborates with public and private stakeholders to achieve lasting results. To date, iDE Cambodia has reached 5.8 million people with farming, business, and water and sanitation solutions.
iDE Cambodia is seeking a Communication and Knowledge Management (CKM) Specialist to support our country programs with special focus on the MFAT funded Climate Smart Commercial Horticulture (CSmart) project and the Sanitation Marketing Scale-Up Phase 3 which is jointly funded by USAID, the Stone Family Foundation, and DFAT. The CKM Specialist will oversee our internal and external communications and knowledge and content management at the strategic and implementation levels. This work should strengthen communication and knowledge-sharing between iDE staff, donors, partners, and the broader community. iDE takes pride in being an entrepreneurial and innovative organization and expects a successful candidate will embody creativity, impact orientation, and an entrepreneurial spirit in her/his attitude and approach.
